WOMEN IN FOOTBALL
Regional Leadership Programme 2025
Women in Leadership Programme
Program Goals
The Women in Leadership Programme aligns with Central Football's strategic pillar "GROW" and aims to strengthen capability and leadership across women's football. It focuses on closing the 'confidence gap' and challenging biases that may be hindering women from pursuing their careers further. The programme is designed to create a community of women leaders who want to increase their personal and organizational impact.
Ford Regional Women in Leadership Programme 2025 – East Edition
The Ford Regional Women in Leadership Programme is back for 2025 – and this time it’s heading East!
Following two inspiring years empowering women across the Central Federation, the programme continues to grow its impact, creating opportunities for women to develop leadership capability, confidence, and connections within the football community.
In partnership with New Zealand Football, the Ford Regional Women in Leadership Programme is designed to empower women involved in club committees, administration, coaching, or those emerging as the next generation of leaders in our game.
This year marks an exciting new step forward as the programme welcomes participants from Regional Sports Organisations (RSOs) for the first time. By strengthening relationships across sporting codes, the initiative aims to build leadership capacity, collaboration, and a strong network of female leaders driving positive change both within football and across the wider sports sector.
Across two immersive days, participants will have the opportunity to grow their leadership skills, engage in meaningful discussions, and take part in practical sessions designed to inspire confidence and action. Attendees will also be supported to lead a community-focused project and strengthen ties with their club or organisation.
